Red Lights Over Phoenix, Again!

April 23, 2008

Red Colored Lights Over Phoenix

It’s been about 10 years since Phoenix residents were visited by unexplained red lights. News media are buzzing with reports from sightings, and at least one high quality video.

No official tracking could be found by military or civilian air controllers, and Luke AFB, the nearest Air Force Base, said there were no operations from the base to explain the lights.

Watch our featured video, on the right side column, to hear the frightening reaction of people observing the 1997 lights. This is a scary phenomenon, and not an uncommon thing, for many people living in Phoenix.

Several Phoenix residents have begun documenting these strange occurrences, and they agree that something about Phoenix seems to attract the events. Other UFO investigators say this is a hoax designed to discredit genuine UFO events.

White Dress

White Dress Ghost Scary Story

Once there was beautiful young girl who was invited to a dance, but her poor family couldn’t afford a brand new dress for the dance, and they really wanted to let their pretty daughter go.

They had almost given up hope when they saw in the window of a pawn shop, a beautiful white dress!

The young girl loved the dress so much that they bought it (it was the only one they could afford anyway), so when the
dance night came, the beautiful girl danced the night away, and had a wonderful time…so far.

She went to bed exhausted that night, she never took off the dress, and she never came downstairs in the morning. When her parents worried they went up to check on her…she was not breathing!

Her father quickly took her to the hospital and he patiently waited to hear that she would recover, she never did,
instead the doctor came out to tell him that her body was infected with embalming fluid and that the dress she had been wearing was contaminated with formaldehyde.

How could it be? The father asked. He later learned that the dress she had been wearing was stolen by a graveyard worker and put up for sale in the pawn shop.

The first girl who owned the dress is dead and the new owner will join her in the graveyard shortly.

Carolyn’s Puppy & Visit from Death

April 8, 2008

Image created by our friend Daniele Montella

Our friend Carolyn was thrilled to get a Cocker puppy for her 11th birthday.

The dog always slept on a little rug in Carolyn’s bedroom.

Carolyn got a terrible fever from an infection after tonsil surgery. It was so bad that she slept most of time and was too weak even to leave her bed for a couple of days. The dog was there every time she awoke, lying on the rug next to her bed.

One night she had a terrible nightmare that death was coming in her door. He looked like Death in all the movies, had a black cloak and glowing eyes, he had no scythe, but he did have bony skeleton fingers that slowly pushed open her door.

She was unable even to breathe as the vision entered her room and moved silently toward her, staring strait into her eyes the entire time.

Carolyn began to pray, not the usual prayers children say, but urgently crying to God for help. Her fear was unbearable.

As the shadow of Death crept across her floor it soon reached her puppy, and the dog whimpered softly, and at that moment Death turned and left.

When Carolyn awoke the next day her puppy was gone. Her mother sadly admitted that her new dog had died during the night with no apparent cause.

The Dance Job

April 6, 2008

Scary Mirror
The Top Hats were a popular band in the 1950s and 60s. “Playing Dance Jobs” (Gigs) in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, they did weddings, church and company parties, and especially fraternal club parties like the Elks, Masons, Moose etc.

On one trip to Wyoming (the Top Hats were based in Salt Lake City, Utah) the band had an extremely eerie experience on the way home.

The dance party ended, and after packing their cars with their instruments the band started the long drive home. One band member, Bud, had drunk too much and was very tipsy. As they drove along the lonely road they came upon a single car accident involving a hearse. The driver of the hearse was drunk, and was sitting on the bumper at the back of the hearse, partway inside the open rear door. He was holding his head and rocking back and forth in dismay.

As the men approached him he moaned to them “don’t touch her, don’t touch her!”

Immediately all of their eyes followed the tearful gaze of the hearse driver, which was staring down the embankment to an open coffin with a womans corpse inside, and the top open. A chill went over the group, and incredibly, Bud, the drunk band member approached the coffin.

Before anyone could stop Bud he had the womans cold face cupped in his hands. Over and over he said “Poor lady, you poor lady!” He cried and carried on as though a loved one from his own life was lying in the coffin. The driver had to be restrained while the other men tried to get their friend away from the coffin. The whole thing was a frightening and unforgettable mess.

It was a great relief to everyone when they were able to get the two drunks into a car and get started to a town where they could get some help for the wreck, and the driver. Before long they were at an all night diner and pouring coffee into Bud and the drunk driver. As Bud sobered up he took several trips to the bathroom to wash his hands. He couldn’t believe he had been touching a corpse, and he couldn’t feel clean no matter how often he washed his hands.

On his last trip to the bathroom
, the band members were starting to relax and laugh about what a crazy night they had had. The laughter was interrupted by a flickering and dimming of the lights in the diner. At the same time a shattering scream came from the bathroom.

Everyone ran to the bathroom. Four bodies crowded in the door to see the darkened room with Bud at the sink. He was panting hard, and his face was twisted with terror as he looked at the reflection in the mirror, where he saw not his own face, but the image of a woman glaring back at him!

This story was told by Willard Shingleton, Roberts great grandfather. Willard was a professional drummer for vaudeville, the symphony, and the Top Hats among other bands. He always related this story as true.

Scary Cop

This is an actual email sent to us, word for word. It is, of course, an Urban Legend of the classic type, and also a complete fabrication. Please read to the bottom to learn the truth.

This is false. You should simply dial 911, *77 doesn’t connect to anything on my Verizon phone.

My friend Jim, 25 year LA County Deputy hasn’t heard of it. He is asking others for us.

I spoke to Iron County Dispatch, they said (in this area) 911 is central dispatch, in other regions 911 is fragmented.

Officers should, but do not always, radio in an attempted stop. Dispatch said it is not uncommon that a person will call to see if a car is attempting a stop and dispatch (in Iron County) frequently has to verify that there is an officer attempting a stop, in that area, and a car like the one they drive. So they have to stop.

There is nothing wrong with the idea that you check if an unmarked patrol car is attempting a stop.

Simply dial 911 (if you have phone signal). Or simply continue to drive to a gas station or other populated place.

This is a good urban legend/scary story and we will definitely post it at http://scareo.com It’s a variation of the “high beams” story.

It is dangerous to say that “*77 works in all 50 states”, it doesn’t work on Verizon phones in Southern Utah, that’s for sure!

But it is also dangerous BS that could get a person killed. You MUST tell people to dial 911 or learn correct procedures for your own region or regions you visit and frequent. DON’T pass around incorrect information that gives people a false sense of security, and has them trying to dial a fictitious number at a time when 911 is always appropriate, and (as far as I have been able to learn) no other number is.

Any reply is welcome.

This famous urban legend has a ton of variations, two of them are “High Beams” and also “Credit Card”
